My name is Kirby and like many people I've had dogs all my life. A poodle, a beagle, a cocker spaniel, a chocolate lab, and some catahoula mixes. My last two dogs were the father and son catahoula mixes. I had each before they were 2 months old. The daddy's name was Boo and the biggest male of his litter he fathered that looked like him, I named Radley. And oh how they loved to run. We had a good size back yard, but these dogs needed more than the same grass every day. So, on a cool fall afternoon I put them on their leashes, jumped on my longboard, and we took off like little lightning bolts! We flew down the street; my fingers crossed there were no rocks in the road big enough to take me out. We must've gone 500 yards before the dogs began to slow pace. After a cool down jog and walk, we got back to the house and Boo and Rad each had a bowl of water and a good nap. The rest of the day my boys were smiling and better behaved. It was great to see them so happy. So, from then on, we tried to go skate every day, sometimes twice a day. My boys lived to be 15 and 16 years old and I miss them every day. Time passed, and I got new board and another dog and what'dya know, he likes to skate too. The smiles these dogs wear when we're out, the health benefits of regular exercise, how better behaved in the house they were, and the memories I have of me and Boo and Radley, is why I started Tails Up Pups.

Reasons to choose Tails Up Pups
We're safe. Trained on the OneWheel electric skateboard, the rider controls the top speed of the run and can also brake. Water is always carried with us on our runs and breaks will be given to offer during breaks.
We offer pictures and videos of your dog's runs, walks, and training sessions. Also, through the app you can see the all the lefts and rights of your dog's walk. For the runs you'll be able to see their route and how fast they ran and average speed.
Every dog that rides with us must go through an evaluation to be sure it's safe to run them on the skateboard. Every rider must also pass a competency evaluation on the board, with and without a dog on a leash.

Who is Tails Up Pups for?
Do you have a dog with eyes, teeth, or a tail? Does your dog have feet or a nose? Then Tails Up Pups is for you!

Whether your job keeps you away from home all day, your animal is too strong to handle easy, or you'd just rather someone else do the walking; whatever the reason, we can help take care of your dog's physical and mental exercise.
